There are many ways to get involved with student life during the International Foundation Program. Check out one of the programs listed below, or you can get involved with your local Student government, which offers a variety of positions available to incoming students. There are also lots of programs, student clubs, and other offerings you can get involved with, come to the International Programs Office to get more information.
The Conversation Club is offered by the International Foundation Program to students as an opportunity to practice their conversational English with upper-year University of Toronto student leaders. Conversation Club is offered as a small group learning opportunity in both semesters and meets for one hour per week.
The International Foundation Program also hosts a variety of social, academic, health and wellness, and conference opportunities every year. Students in the program are invited by their instructors, student councils, and our Student Life Officer to engage in opportunities on and off campus to add to their university experience.
The International Foundation Program will have variety of teams to participate in the University of Toronto’s Intramurals. Based on interest, the IFP will form teams for Volleyball, Basketball, Soccer, and Ultimate Frisbee.

IFP Representative and Committee
Each year, one IFP student is elected to be the IFP Representative in the New College Student Council. The IFP Rep will lead meetings with the IFP committee to discuss, plan, or organize events, activities, and opportunities to engage in the U of T community.
